What could be better looking than a 964 Carrera? What about a 964 Carrera with Turbo look? This example is also finished in a tasty (and rare) colour: Wimbledon Green. As a convertible with Tiptronic, it is a perfect car for a road trip in the summer.
We've said it before: the 964 combines the best of both worlds. The classic 911 modernized. When introduced in 1989, the iconic lines of the original 911 remained largely intact, but 85% of the car was brand new. The electric rear spoiler for example, but also modern technology like ABS and power steering.
Where the classic 911 series ended with the 3.2, Porsche continued with a new 3.6 liter engine in the 964. This engine produces an impressive 250 horsepower. This makes the 964 still pretty quick for today's standards.
The suspension has been significantly modernized as well, with coil springs at the rear rather than torsion bars and MacPherson suspension at the front. In addition, Tiptronic and four-wheel drive were available for the first time on the 911. This 964 is still an old school rear-wheel drive car, but it does have Tiptronic.
This example is a (real) WTLversion and therefore has the desirable wide hips of the Turbo. Parts of the suspension and the brakes where transferred from the Turbo as well. Of the 34.398 Carrera 2's that where produced in total, only 1.532 convertibles were delivered with the Turbo-look. This version is therefore quite rare, while this is of course the look you want.
This example is not just an eye-catcher because of the wide hips, but also because of the colour. This 964 is finished in the exclusive and rare color 'Wimbledon Green Metallic'. In the interior there is also green piping to match the exterior.
This car was originally delivered in Germany and ended up in the Netherlands in 2017, after staying in France and Belgium for a while. It currently has 185.200 km on the odometer.

About the seller
The owner has owned many beautiful classics and Porsches in the past. Porsche is a brand he has always had a sweet spot for. Of course he couldn't resist this 964 WTL in this colour. However, as the mileage suggests, he drives it too little, so it is time for this Collectable to leave the garage.
