Enjoying the raspy naturally aspirated boxer with the roof open: it's still possible with this 991 Carrera S Cabriolet. This example has covered only 27.800 km and is finished in Pure White with contrasting black rims.
The Porsche 991 is the biggest leap forward the 911 has made in the last twenty years. The 997 was in fact an evolution of the 996 and the current 992 is again an evolution of the 991. However, the 991 was based on a completely new platform.
Although the 911 became longer and wider, the 991 Cabrio is 75 kg lighter than its predecessor. With the Carrera S you'll have nothing to complain about in terms of speed. Despite the fact that it has 'only' 15 hp more than the 997 Carrera S (400 rather than 385), it was 13 seconds faster on the Nordschleife than its predecessor. The 991 Carrera S equals the lap time of the 997 GT3.
That was made possible without a new powertrain, because the 991 still has the naturally aspirated 3.8 liter flat six in the back. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, because this is a great engine. Both in terms of performance and in terms of sound.
You can hear the engine note even better in this 911, because this example is equipped with a sports exhaust. Moreover, we are talking about a convertible here. For the roof construction Porsche has used magnesium, which makes the convertible top both light and strong. In terms of stiffness and insulation, the convertible is almost on par with the coupé.
This example is equipped with PDK gearbox and the Sport Chrono package, which also includes Launch Control. This way, you can get the most out of this car in terms of acceleration, with a 0-100 time of 4,3 seconds. And if you want, you can also reach 300 km/h in this convertible.
With such performance figures, a car doesn't have te look modest. That's not the case with this car, because this 991 is finished in Pure White, which contrasts nicely with the black roof and the black rims. In addition to the aforementioned sports exhaust and the Sport Chrono package, this car is also equipped with electrically adjustable sports seats, ParkAssist front and rear, Porsche Active Suspension Management and a BOSE sound system.
The car was originally delivered in Germany and has been with the current Dutch owner since 2016. He first drove it in California, but took it back to Europe last year. The car has covered only 27.800 km.

The car had covered only 11.308 km at that point. The new service booklet contains the stamps of the last services at Porsche Centrum Rotterdam. However, all invoices from the maintenance in the US are present. See photos for the 111-point check and the recent invoices.

About the seller
The seller is a Porsche enthusiast, and in particular a 911 enthusiast. But that's basically the same thing, right? He previously owned a 997 and then purchased this 991. "The powerful feeling you experience with the top open is indescribable," the owner says. Due to work-related changes and the fact that the children have outgrown the back seat, the car is being used less and less. That is why, after five beautiful years, it is now time to say goodbye to the 991.
