The Lamborghini Aventador is one of the supercar icons of the past decade. Sensational looks, matching sound and a spectacular driving experience: the Aventador is everything a supercar should be. This example is finished in Bianco Isis and has covered only 2.090 km.
The very last Lamborghini Aventador recently rolled off the production line in Sant'Agata Bolognese, marking the end of an era. The successor will probably still get a V12, but this will be a hybrid. So the Aventador will go down in history as the last Lamborghini with a pure atmospheric V12.
When you see this car there is no doubt: this is a Lamborghini. In terms of design, the Aventador builds on its iconic predecessors, but it's all just a touch more aggressive. Of course, the Aventador has scissor doors, Lamborghini's trademark since the Countach.
The beating heart of the Aventador is an atmospheric 6.5-litre V12. Make no mistake: despite the fact that the Murciélago LP640 also had a 6.5-litre V12, this is a completely new engine. This is Lamborghini's first all-new V12 since 1963.
Besides an impressive and very recognisable sound, the V12 produces 700 hp and 690 Nm of torque. Thanks to all-wheel drive, you can actually put the power to work on the asphalt. The Aventador catapults itself from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and the top speed is 350 km/h.
The Aventador is the first Lamborghini to feature a carbon fibre monocoque. This means it is significantly lighter and stiffer than its predecessor. Another first on the Aventador was the push-rod suspension, as used in Formula 1.
This 2012 example is the "Primal Aventador", the LP700-4. So in terms of design, this is the purest version. Especially in this colour Bianco Isis, it is a truly timeless Aventador. The interior is finished with matching white stitching. And thanks to the Capristo exhaust, the sound of the fabulous V12 is even more impressive.
What makes this 2012 example really special is the mileage. This car has only 2,090 kilometres on the odometer. A unique opportunity to own an original Aventador that is still as good as new.
Our opinion
Just starting an Aventador is an event. Ignition on, the whir of the petrol pump getting the necessary litres of fuel ready to run, raising the red lip that covers the start button as a final warning and then... press the button, loud growl, awake. The V12 immediately makes it clear what its purpose is. Lamborghini has always been the brand that does things just a little different, with just a little more drama. You used to be able to read that both ways, but since the arrival of Audi, these are well-built super (or even Hyper) cars that you can drive for thousands of miles without any problems.
For the Aventador, Lamborghini chose a single-clutch robotic gearbox. At the time, some journalists thought it was too rough compared to a PDK, DCT or ZF gearbox, but those who drive this car for a longer period will appreciate the fact that this 'Last of the Mohicans' has a raw edge. It is one of the rare modern supercars in which you can still scare yourself.
In terms of looks, we can be brief. We love Lamborginis in their most pure form. What could be more aesthetically appealing than a first-generation Countach or Diablo without spoilers or other stickers, exactly as the designer designed it? The same goes for this primal Aventador.
This Lamborghini looks (and even smells) brand new. Of course, we do hope that the next owner will drive this Collectable more often, if only to increase the chances of enthusiasts seeing (and hearing) it in real life.

About the seller
The owner bought this Aventador from specialist car dealer Bernards Exclusives in Woerden (The Netherlands) with 1,302 km on the odometer. He was able to disclose that this Lamborghini spent its first eight years in the huge collection of the illustrious ex-Samsung CEO. After that, the car came to the Netherlands with +/- 300 km.
The current owner bought the Lamborghini to supplement his collection and with the intention of enjoying it. In practice, however, he finds it a shame to drive this practically new Aventador, so on sunny weekends he prefers to drive one of the other cars in his fleet. Hence, this Collectable may leave his garage.
