The old Porsche Targa achieved a sort of cult status, but it was not without its drawbacks. The roof that had to be lifted off manually was not the most practical.
That changed with the reintroduction of the Porsche Targa in 2014. Not only was this the most beautiful version in the 911 range, the roof construction was also unique. No fiddling, but a roof that folds away in an elegant way. Open the roof (remotely) in front of a full terrace, admiring glances are guaranteed.
Interesting to know: 'targa' is a registered trademark of Porsche and may therefore not be used by other brands. The term was coined by Porsche in 1965 and is derived from the Targa Florio race. The 911 Targa is therefore the one and only targa.
This example is a Targa 4 in S version, so 400 hp from an atmospheric 3.8 six-cylinder boxer and four-wheel drive. The car has been fully maintained by Porsche and is equipped with the unsurpassed PDK gearbox and optional sports exhaust, electrically adjustable Sport seats Plus, Sport Chrono Plus package and BOSE audio. Moreover, this 911 Targa is finished in an equally beautiful and stylish color: Nachtblau Metallic.
Because the S version has the 3.8 instead of a 3.4 engine, you have considerably more power than in an S-less Targa 4 (50 hp and 50 Nm extra). This Mk1 is also the last atmospheric 911 Targa. And because it is the four-wheel drive version, you have the nice wide hips.
The maintenance of this Porsche has always been in good hands: Porsche Centrum Leusden delivered this Targa in 2014 and the car has been maintained according to schedule since then. This Porsche is therefore in excellent condition.
