The 911 has continued to be finely honed and perfected generation after generation. The latest step in the evolution is the 992, which saw the light of day in 2018. With it, Porsche has managed to take the tried-and-tested concept to the next level once again. The engine has remained the same compared to the 991 Mk2. That means: a 3.0-litre boxer engine with two turbos. Porsche did, however, add another notch to it in terms of power. In the 992 Carrera, you have no less than 385 hp and 450 Nm of torque at your disposal. With rear-wheel drive, the Carrera is a true Porsche with the engine in the back, of course. Porsche has done little to tinker with the iconic design (why would they?), but the 992 does look a little more modern than its predecessor. The rear view is particularly impressive, with the continuous LED bar in the taillights and the hips wider than ever. The 992's interior, by the way, did get a complete makeover. The dashboard is more modern, but at the same time the layout is reminiscent of the classic 911.
This particular 992 Carrera is beautifully executed in finally a colour other than black or grey. The Indian red looks good on it and the rev counter is also tasteful in this colour. The current and first(!) owner drove only 17,000 km with the 911. He bought it new from the dealer in Bahrain and took it to the Netherlands 2 years ago. Anticipating European usage, he ordered seat heating as an option! The car is in mint condition and has of course been neatly maintained at the Porsche dealer.
Our opinion
The 992 series again looks just a bit better than its predecessor. In our eyes, the coupé version remains the most beautiful and for the pure driving experience, its 380bhp is more than enough. The chance to get your hands on a good-as-new 992 from the first owner!

About the seller
Geert is a car enthusiast and had the chance to buy his dream car new 4 years ago. He feels like a pilot in a fighter jet which is especially enhanced at night by the beautiful dashboard. Because of his work, he has to move regularly and so took the 992 to the Netherlands to enjoy it. Next year, Geert will move to Australia. Conversion to right-hand drive is unfortunately not an option, so he has decided to auction the 992 through The Collectables.
