This Expedition is being auctioned as a NO RESERVE lot. 

For those looking for an original Ford Expedition: stop reading, waste of your time. This awesomeness was shipped from LA in 2015 after a road trip from Idaho to California and exported to the Netherlands. It then spent tons of money on modifications and adaptations. In 1997, Ford rounded up its SUV range with the Expedition, which is closely related under the skin to the well-known F-150. In the Netherlands, you rarely see the Expedition and we mostly know its counterpart, the Lincoln Navigator. The Expedition was available as an 8-seater and was powered as standard by the Ford Triton V8 in 4.6 and 5.4 litre versions. It was (and is) one of the largest passenger cars on sale. This makes it seem like a car that all environmentalists shudder at, but don't forget that it is one of the top 10 cars (the Expedition is in place 4) in the world with the longest lifespan over 200,000 miles! The Triton V8 engines were further refined in terms of design and overall efficiency. Thus, the Expedition qualified as an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) and was certified under Environmental Protection Agency regulations a year earlier than required. Sustainable, in other words (American style). The 2003 model year was the 2nd generation, featuring a fully independent suspension in addition to the new engines, making it unique of its kind. In addition, the frame was a lot stiffer and all components such as the brakes were modified to be able to pull heavy carts. In the USA, it had approval up to 4,000 kg!

The Expedition offered here was exported from the USA in 2015 and admitted to the Netherlands in 2018 and has been with its current owner for the past six years. Just apart from the fact that an Expedition is already very richly equipped in an American way, the current owner has gone all out to turn it into a ‘one of a kind’ wacky SUV. The necessary maintenance, overhauls and modifications were carried out, for example in terms of lighting and for off-road driving. There is also a high-end audio system on board. To keep costs manageable, the car is on grey registration. Ideal for entrepreneurs. Because the cargo space is huge (and nicely finished). The finish on the interior is actually an ongoing project and could still use a bit of love. Ideal to put your own spin on it as a new owner.

Our opinion

A car you don't need but want is our slogan. True, but in this case, this all-rounder could come in quite handy if you have something to lug, stow or pull. Or if you just want to make a statement! Furthermore, equipped with lots of entertainment and lots of space. You can just sleep in it if you go on a nice tour through Scandinavia, for instance. Not a hot rod ( it does move forward well, though) and definitely an indestructible all-rounder. A car with some signs of use and imperfections to tackle and further customise. Anyway, something special; immediately drivable and usable!

- Thanks to the fender flares and extremely thick tyres, the car stands 23 cm wider on its feet than a standard Expedition

Custom extreme sound system powered by a 4-channel Rockford Fosgate amplifier. All speakers and also the amplifier are all fitted with extra thick cables and the amplifier is fitted with its own 150 A fuse 
- High-end 2-DIN Pioneer head unit with touch screen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto and voice control, 2x USB input, SD card slot, DAB+ radio, CD/DVD and reversing camera
- Front and rear doors fitted with a Ground Zero 8’ / 20 cm composet of 200 Watt RMS each, anti-drum mats in all doors and custom-made MDF speaker panels
- Custom-made stainless steel tweeter housings; 2 in the dashboard and 2 in the rear doors
- AMG deep cycle battery
