The BMW Z4 Coupé combines classic sports car proportions with unique lines. More importantly: as a Z4 M, it's also a pure-bred sports car in terms of driving experience. In addition, the Z4 M is a lot rarer than most other M models. This specific example is from The Netherlands, has had only one private owner and is finished in a beautiful classic combination: Interlagos Blau and Karamel.
As often, BMW saved the best for last with the Z4 of the E85/E86 generation. The Coupé came four years after the introduction of the convertible. The proportions were those of a traditional sports car, but the razor-sharp lines give this generation Z4 a completely unique appearance. The Z4 Coupé came not only with the wonderful 3.0 six-in-line, but also directly with the famous letter M.
For the technology of the Z4 M, BMW turned to the E46 M3. The same brilliant 343 hp 3,2 liter straight-six can be found under the beautifully long hood of the Z4 M. The limited slip differential is taken from the E46 M3 as well, while the brake calipers and brake discs originate from the M3 Competition and M3 CSL.
The naturally aspirated S54 engine makes driving the E46 M3 a joy, so you can guess what happens when this engine is placed in a lighter and more compact car. What certainly adds to the experience is the seating position: you are practically sitting on top of the rear axle. Combined with the six-speed manual transmission, this is BMW driving at its finest.
The Z4 M can also be counted among the rarest models in the history of BMW M. In total, only 9.345 of these Z4 Ms have rolled off the production line, less than half of them as Coupés.
This example is original Dutch and has had only one private owner. The car is finished in a timeless and tasteful combination of an Interlagos Blau exterior with a Caramel interior.
This Collectable will be auctioned without a reserve price (No Reserve). The highest bidder is therefore also the winner of this auction and can add this BMW Z4 M to his or her garage.
