A BMW M635 CSi needs little explanation for most enthusiasts. After the BMW M1 and BMW M535i, the car was the third and most powerful BMW M model of the eighties; a time when "M" really stood for "Motorsport". The model was sold in the United States as BMW M6. Despite the fact that the engine there was about 26 hp less powerful than the European ones, which went through life a little more modest as M635 CSi.
The M88 / 3 engine is a further development of the legendary M88 engine from the BMW M1, the first real BMW M car. The European version had 286 hp (true BMW enthusiasts recognize that number, because many BMWs followed with the same number of Bavarian horses in the front) at 6,500 rpm, a torque of 340 Nm at 4,500 rpm and did a sprint from 0 to 100 in 6.4 seconds with an (unlimited) top speed of 255 km / h. Very serious performance at the time and still very smooth in the current traffic situation.
In terms of color scheme, this Collectable is completely identical to the one in the BMW Museum in Munich. Fortunately, it has been used and this BMW has provided a lot of pleasure for its drivers, passengers and fellow road users over the past 36 years. Because what a unique model it remains, with that beautiful "shark nose".
The family bought this beautiful M635 CSi seven years ago as a hobby car to enjoy together. The Dutch owner previously owned the car for 11 years. And the last two German owners were both doctors. Only 3,283 copies of this original European version were produced, making it a rare appearance, especially in this untouched condition.
