With an atmospheric, high-revving, roaring V8 that sends 420 horsepower to the rear wheels, the BMW M3 E92 is a real beast. But one that can be used daily, that's the beauty of the BMW M3. This M3 is equipped with the fine DCT gearbox and, among other things, Electronic Damper Control and M Driver's Package. It has 84,000 km on the clock and the car was inspected before sale by Dekra Automotive last month and completely checked by official BMW dealer Dusseldorp.
The early history of the M3 mainly consists of upsizing: from a four-cylinder, to a six-cylinder, to eventually an eight-cylinder. After that, however, BMW started downsizing, giving the M3 of the E9x generation a unique position in the history of this iconic model. All the more so because it is the last M3 with an atmospheric block.
The 'S65' V8 is related to the V10 from the M5 and was specially developed for the M3. This block was named International Engine of the Year several times. The V8 delivers its maximum power of 420 hp at 8,300 rpm and is limited to 8,400 rpm. This makes this the most high-revving block ever in a BMW production model. The M3 also makes excellent progress at lower revs: 85% of the maximum torque (400 Nm) is available over a speed range of 6,500 rpm. A nice fact: contrary to what you would expect, the V8 is lighter than the smaller six-in-line from the previous generation M3.
Which also benefits the weight (and the center of gravity): the M3 Coupé is equipped with a carbon roof as standard. The fact that this looks cool is of course a nice bonus. In terms of appearance, you have nothing to complain about anyway: the M3 Coupé looks exactly like you want an M model with a V8 to look like. The wide wheel arches, the powerdome on the hood, a more aggressive front bumper, the four exhausts: the picture is just right. At the same time, it is not over the top, giving this M3 a timeless appearance. This example is executed in Space Gray Metallic.
Speaking of the specs: this car is equipped with M Driver's Package, EDC (Electronic Damper Control), M Drive, adaptive headlights and high beam assistant. Thanks to the M Driver's Package, the top speed is not limited to 250 km/h but has been raised to 280 km/h.
This example was originally delivered in Italy, where the car had one owner. In 2012, the car was imported to the Netherlands, where the car is now with the third owner. We can say proud owner, because in 2015 his M3 was chosen for the Autovisie Supertest, which consisted of a selection of the best driver's cars since 1997. He also took good care of it: the car was always parked in his garage and only drank Superplus 98 and Castrol Edge 10W60 engine oil. This month the car was fully checked by BMW Dusseldorp and fitted with fresh front brake discs and pads.

Small dent in left exhaust end piece
Paint damage on the front bumper
Scratch on the sidekirts left
Some stone chips on the hood and front bumper
Service history
The car was maintained at the BMW dealer. Last year and this year, the owner carried out the minor services with his mechanic (replacement of the engine & brake oil and the replacement of the oil and air filters), for which the invoices are present.
To avoid any doubts about the condition of the car, the owner had the car inspected by Dekra Automotive. This showed that the oil level sensor had to be replaced, as well as the front brake discs and pads. This was carried out by BMW Dusseldorp. They have also fully checked the car and confirm in writing that the car is technically in order (see photos for invoice with comment). The Dekra report with explanation from BMW is available on request.
The most important points from the recent maintenance history are.
July 7 2021 - 83,647 km - BMW Dusseldorp Alkmaar: front brake discs and pads, oil level sensor replaced (€1,806.60)
July 14, 2017 - 71,008 km - BMW Dusseldorp Alkmaar: support bearings, spring element front + intermediate bearings replaced (€666.18)
March 17, 2017 - 70,240 km - BMW Dusseldorp Alkmaar: including oil differential lock, spark plugs, air filter, rear brake pads replaced (€ 1,855.96)
All invoices of the maintenance performed at the dealer and the maintenance booklet are present (see photos).

About the seller
The seller has always been a BMW enthusiast and the M3 was a dream car for him to own. He describes it as "the best all-round sports car with a rear seat, with an unprecedented experience at 8,000 rpm." Unfortunately, the back seat has now become too small, due to family expansion. The M3 can therefore no longer serve as a holiday car. Fortunately for the seller, there are also BMW and Alpina station wagons.
