You're not a real car enthusiast if you've never owned an Alfa, right? Those looking for such a car have plenty of choice. A station wagon, sedan or hatchback from the iconic brand is already very nice, but a beautifully lined coupé should be the car you really want. The Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo, better known as GT, for example. A beautiful body, Alfa DNA and pleasant driving characteristics make this a desirable car. Especially this one, because it's equipped with the famous Busso V6, and finished in the stylish colour Nero Metallico with GTA wheels. Also worth mentioning: the service history comes with the car in the shape of a folder filled with invoices.
But first, let's go back in time a little. The GT adventure started in 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show when the Italians introduced a brand new coupé. Underneath, the car is based on the 147 and 156, but for the design of the Gran Turismo the help of Bertone was called in. They designed a beautifully contoured body that provides the car with a sporty and stylish look. The small side windows, high rear and flat taillights make the Alfa seem a bit wider than it actually is. That's what you want with a sporty coupe. The nose resembles that of the 147, but thanks to a different front bumper and the wider fenders of the 147 GTA, the two-door Alfa has been given its own look.
To live up to the expectations that the name Gran Turismo arouses, Alfa decided to give the 'top version' the 3.2 liter Busso V6 with 240 hp and 300 Nm. The sprint to 100 is therefore completed in just 6,7 seconds, while the car doesn't stops accelerating untill it hits 243 km/h. Certainly no figures to be ashamed of, especially back in 2004. However, even today there are still plenty of cars that can't keep up with a GT 3.2.
Today's cars are certainly on match for the brilliant sound of the atmospheric Busso V6. They don't make 'em like this any more! If you rev the engine up to the rev limiter you are rewarded with a mighty roar, but the block also sounds nice when driving calmly and upshifting early. If the appearance does not catch the attention, the V6 will.
If you take a seat in the Alfa, you will notice how familiar the interior feels. The dashboard is almost identical to that of the 147. The driving experience in the Alfa is, as the name Gran Turismo suggests: sporty, but certainly comfortable at the same time. Nice and quiet cruising or sporty driving on B roads, the Alfa does both with pleasure.
Even though the engine is the same as that of the legendary 147 GTA, it never came to an 'official' GTA version of the GT. However, in addition to the engine, this car also has the beautiful GTA rims, as a nod to the top version that never came. Especially in combination with the Nero Metallico paint and the black interior, the car is a feast for the eyes. It's definitely one of those cars where you can't walk away without looking back when you've parked it. And that's when you know you bought the right car!
This example was originally deliverd in Germany and has resided in the Netherlands since 2015. There are currently less than 126.000 km on the odometer. Apart from some minimal imperfections, the car is still in neat condition. The car comes with a folder containing the well-documented maintenance history.

About the seller
Anyone who buys an Alfa GT has to be a real car enthusiast. This also becomes apparent when you look at the seller's car history. For example, his first car was a Volvo 480 GT. Because he has an aversion to boring cars and likes to change cars frequently, the seller has owned many interesting cars already. He currently also has a Volvo 240 Polar from 1993. After watching a video about the Alfa Romeo GT 3.2, he decided that this coupé had be on the driveway and so it happened. Recently, however, there has been a family expansion in the form of a dog, which makes things a bit cramped in the Alfa. The Volvo does have space for four people and a dog, but it doesn't have airconditioning. That's why the beautiful Italian and the special Swede unfortunately have to give room to one large car. We're sure it will be something special.
