The facelift model of the 991 Turbo S was introduced in 2016.
Apart from different taillights and streamlined dual front turn signals, the interior in particular has been significantly upgraded. The updated PCM 5 screen is a lot more responsive, and is also many times more user-friendly than the prefacelift model. The steering wheel has also been changed to a sportier version.
But a lot has also been improved engine-wise.
The 3.8-liter bi-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine now produces 580 hp, 20 hp more than its predecessor. Torque also increased by 50 Nm: it now has a whopping 750 Nm at its disposal from 2,100 rpm. What that means for performance? Well, a sprint to 100 km/h takes at most 2.9 seconds, Porsche itself states that this is ''a conservative estimate''. Yet Top Gear managed to get 2.6 seconds in measurements every time. Regardless, it is the first production 911 to sprint to 100 km/h in under three seconds.
Other amazing numbers: 0-200 km/h takes only 9.9 seconds, the top is at 330 km/h.
The extra power comes mainly from the updated turbos with a larger compressor. Variable Turbo Geometry (VTG) ensures a tremendously efficient air supply, so efficient that it even has a downside: it is no longer possible to fit a sports exhaust, because there is simply not enough exhaust gas left to do anything fun with.
But fortunately, the Turbo S sounds brutal enough on its own
The throttle response is phenomenally good, thanks to the Dynamic Boost. Normally, a turbo stops spinning when you release the throttle, thereby closing the throttle valve. If you then get back on the gas, it logically takes a while for the turbo to crank up and build up pressure again. With the Turbo S, Porsche leaves the throttle valve open and interrupts only the fuel supply - that way the turbo keeps running and immediately has pressure again. Nice technology gained during racing. Ceramic brakes also ensure quick and efficient shaking off the dizzying speeds.
This original Dutch delivered 911 Turbo S with almost every possible option has just been driven in and has a spotless maintenance history. Apart from a little stone chips, no damage is noticeable. The car has been well taken care of over the years, so it is still under the Porsche approved warranty until next July!
Our Opinion
This 911 Turbo S is just the way you want it. The facelift model, fully loaded with all the options and a super configuration. The stunning Night Blue metallic color is almost black when it shimmers, and full in the sun the deep blue metallic color really comes into its own. Inside, everything is finished to German premium standards with black leather and carbon.
Every service has been performed on time, and there is even a Porsche Approved warranty until 27-07-2024.
So get in and have fun right away.

With pain in his heart, the seller says goodbye to his beloved Turbo S.
