The Maserati 4200 GT (officially the Maserati Coupé, but that does not sound as nice) combines a beautiful Giugiaro design with a wonderful V8 out of the Ferrari factory. You couldn't really wish for more from an Italian GT. This copy is made of Nero Carbonio with a cognac interior, always a stylish combination. It is a late 2004 car, the year in which the 4200 underwent a minor facelift with several upgrades. The 19-inch GranSport rims and the GranSport rear bumper provide a slightly more sporty look. With 69,000 kilometers and a caring owner, this Maserati is still in great condition.
The Maserati 4200 GT was introduced in 2001 as a further development of the 3200 GT. Optically, the biggest change was that the signature boomerang taillights were gone. Whether it is an improvement or not, we will leave it in the middle for now. Different folks, different strokes...
In any case, there were many improvements on a technical level. The 3.2 liter biturbo V8 was replaced by a naturally aspirated 4.2 liter V8. This was developed together with Ferrari. The block is more powerful, produces a better sound and is also more reliable. The same engine was (in a slightly different form) also found in the Ferrari F430. The Quattroporte and GranTurismo also got the F136 block later, but the 4200 GT was the first. Because this car is equipped with sports dampers and a racing catalytic converter, this car sounds even better than a standard 4200 GT.
The name Cambiocorsa (translates to something like "race exchange", but in Italian it sounds a lot better) refers to the semi-automatic with F1 influences. This can be operated via the Ferrari-style paddles behind the wheel and has four positions: Normal, Sport, Auto and Low Grip.
Although the car has technical similarities with Ferrari, you can look more stylish with this Maserati. The black exterior and cognac-colored leather are a classy combination. This fits perfectly with the last two letters of the 4200 GT. After all, a GT should radiate class. Yet you can certainly drive sporty with this Maserati. To make the looks express that in a subtle way, the owner has fitted 19-inch GranSport wheels, a GranSport rear bumper and rear wheel spacers.

About the seller
The current owner is a car enthusiast with a very diverse taste. In addition to the Maserati, his fleet also consists of a Jaguar I-Pace, a Land Rover Series 3 Convertible, a Ferrari Mondial Convertible and a Fiat 500. A very distinct fleet. He bought the Maserati mainly because of the amazing sound. He still greatly appreciates the car, but with such a large fleet the 4200 GT does not get enough seat-time.
