The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano has (almost) the same V12 as the legendary Enzo. So you have the enormous amount of power and the addictive sound, but in a stylish GT. This Daytona Nero example was originally delivered in the Netherlands and has less than 31,000 km on the odometer.
Buying a Ferrari Enzo is not that easy. So what do you do if you still want the power of an Enzo under your right foot? Exactly, you go for the 599 GTB. Because with its F140C engine, it has almost the same engine under the hood as the Enzo. And that makes it fast. Very fast.
In terms of design, the 599 GTB is a true work of art. The bodywork had to do more than just be beautiful. The assignment given to the designers at Ferrari was to build the car with optimum airflow and with as little resistance as possible. They managed to make the whole car act like a spoiler. And of course they did that the Ferrari way, with the characteristic wings at the c-pillars as a unique design element. This results in stable handling, even at speeds well above 300 km/h (the 599 runs 330 km/h according to the brochure).
This black example manages to attract a lot of attention without being too conspicuous. Especially when you hear the sound of the V12. The current owner likes this so much that we had to test the radio during the photo shoot. It hadn't been turned on for 3.5 years.
The car was originally delivered in the Netherlands in 2008. Since then it has driven just under 31,000 km.
What a sensation this was in 2006 when the car was launched in Geneva as the successor to the 550 and 575 Maranello. Ferrari dared to fit the Enzo engine in the nose of a GT. With more than 600 hp, which also ran well above 8,000 rpm.
It was Ferrari's heyday in Formula 1 and you could see that in this GT. Everything they had learned in the field of electronics was used. Active dampers, a further improved 'F1 Superfast' gearbox and the 'F1-Trac' traction control system. And all through the rear wheels.
With the successor to the 599 GTB Fiorano (the F12), Ferrari threw in another 100hp, but this is still a sensational Ferrari. And beautifully heading towards its classic status, especially in this Daytona Nero.

About the seller
The current owner had a Ferrari on his wish list all his life. Three and a half years ago, the moment was there: he could realize his childhood dream with this 599 GTB. But because he prefers to take the car to beautiful mountain roads and unfortunately no longer has time for this, the time has now come to say goodbye. What the seller will especially miss is the sound of the mighty V12 block. Whether it was sweltering hot or freezing cold outside, he drove with the radio off and the window slightly open. He has always taken good care of the Ferrari, even when it stood still for a while. For example, the battery at home was on the trickle charger and the car was neatly brought to Ferrari dealer Kroymans every year for an annual service.
