With a stunning timeless design by Henrik Fisker and a naturally aspirated V8, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage offers a very desirable package. This example features both the official Aston Martin Power Upgrade and the Sports Pack and comes in an exclusive colour combination: California Sage Green with a dark green interior.
If we were to rank the most beautiful cars of the last 20 years, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage would definitely be in the upper reaches of the list. Henrik Fisker had previously produced a masterful design with the DB9, the V8 Vantage is taking it one step further with its more compact stance.
Whereas the DB9 is a true GT, the V8 Vantage has more of a sports car character with its lower weight and smaller size. It is basically a direct competitor to the Porsche 911, but one built to a very different recipe.
The heart of the V8 Vantage is the 4.3-litre V8 found under its long sleek bonnet. Built by hand, this engine produced 385 hp and 410 Nm as standard. This particular Vantage is also equipped with the Aston Martin Power Upgrade package.
This means that it has been given more power and torque by Aston Martin itself, thanks in part to air boxes that let more air into the engine. As a result, you now have 405 hp and 420 Nm of torque at your disposal in this 2007 V8 Vantage. In addition, the car comes with the Sports Pack, a suspension upgrade with new springs and aluminium Bilstein shock absorbers. This is also an official upgrade from Aston Martin.
This car is finished in an exclusive yet stylish colour combination. The exterior is finished in California Sage Green, a historically accurate colour that also came on the DB5. The interior matches it perfectly, finished in dark green leather with light grey alcantara.
This V8 Vantage was delivered new in Germany and imported to the Netherlands in 2011. It has been owned by the current owner for the past 10 years and has less than 43,000 km on the odometer.
Our opinion
Doesn't every enthusiast have a Vantage on their wish list in the back of their mind? It remains a gorgeous model and in terms of prices, it has now bottomed out. But then still pick that 911 again?
There is nothing against a normal V8 Vantage, but this one is faster, sharper and, as far as we are concerned, beautifully executed in this colour combination. As a matter of fact, we think it is one of the most handsome versions we have seen over the past few years.
